From the Churchwardens

Thank you very much to all the people who contributed to making the APCM a success.

Thanks to those who have stood down from PCC for their significant contributions and a warm welcome to new members - Alan Beardsley (also on Deanery Synod), Jo Joyce and Helen Gallagher. This is also an opportunity to thank everyone who gives of their time to so many activities that make St. Luke’s what it is.

Looking for a new Vicar. As you know the advert and Parish profile are out ‘on the streets’. We, as your Parish representatives in this process, will not be able to tell you much more about what is going on at this stage in the process as we have to preserve confidentiality, but we should be able to tell you in mid to late June what the result of the process has been so far.

Novena. Bishop Trevor would like us all to engage in Nine Days of Prayer (‘Novena’ in Latin) Friday 10th May to Saturday 18th May with the theme of re-imagining our calling.

Congregational meeting - 9th May. There will be an important meeting in the church at 8pm on 9th May to consider and discuss the choices we face over the future of St. Luke’s Centre. Please make this a priority if you can as we want to hear your thoughts and gauge opinion right across all the congregations.
