How can I give to the work of St. Luke’s, Maidstone?
Members of St. Luke’s contribute to the life and work of the church in lots of different ways. Whilst the information on this page relates to giving of a financial nature, other areas of our website explain the different ways in which you are able to get involved and contribute to our ministries.
Give regularly
You can set up a standing order directly with your bank or building society. If you would like details on how to set this up, you can contact our Treasurer.
Other ways to give
- A regular collection is taken at our Sunday services
- If you would like to send us a cheque, please make it payable to St. Luke’s PCC.
- You may like to consider making a donation to St. Luke’s as a legacy in your will. Please ask your solicitor for further information.
Tax efficient giving
If you are a UK taxpayer (Income or Capital Gains Tax) and would like us to be able to claim back the basic rate tax, you will need to fill in, sign and return to us a Gift Aid declaration, if you have not done so already. The benefit to us is that we can recover the basic rate of income tax, currently 25p for each pound given. (If you pay higher rate tax, you may recover this through your own tax return.)
Further information
If you have any questions on these or other ways of giving, please contact our Treasurer, or write to St. Luke’s Church, Foley Street, Maidstone, ME14 5AW.
