The Journeymen

This open and informal group exists primarily to give the men of St Luke's and their friends the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, with all it has to offer.

The object is not only to promote opportunities for fresh air and exercise, but also the chance to develop and enjoy friendship and fellowship as well as spiritual refreshment.

Currently, we seek to achieve these aims by means of Breakfasts and local Day Walks plus half yearly Walking Weekends further afield in areas of challenge and adventure.

In recent years, we have spent times together in the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia and other areas of outstanding natural beauty nearer to home like the South Downs and we have enjoyed some great times together.

"The Journeymen" has been adopted as our group name, as it conveys the concept our being on both a physical and spiritual walk through life and our desire is to provide men with the chance to discover more about themselves and the God we serve.

Beyond the physical and social aspects, we firmly believe that the greatest and most exciting challenge is to walk the spiritual walk day by day in our families, work and play.

We are always eager to welcome men who have not been on one of our ventures before.
