Speak to many thousands of people and mention the name Eric Delve and then the stories start to flow about how their life, or the life of one of their family or friends, was brought to Christ through a 'Down to Earth Mission'; a ministry which was powerfully used by God to bring many to Himself.

Eric was ordained in 1989 and has served in several parishes around the UK. Eric became Vicar of St. Luke's in 1996. Taking care of overall vision and helping to lead the church family forward.  He also travels speaking at conferences and other churches in the UK and overseas.

He is passionate about building a church which demonstrates the power and love of God in all it's glory! Eric is also father of the Detling Summer Conference.

Eric is married to Pat and they have children, grandchildren and lots of pets.

Matt spent 20 years working for BT before joining the team in this leadership role. He oversees the implementation of vision through strategic planning and utilisation of resources, most importantly our people.

Motivation and retention of our volunteers is one of Matt's key aims as we seek to implement our dreams in a way that both honours God and those who serve.

Matt is married to Helen and both of them are passionate about music and worship, a keen Bass Guitar player, he also plays in the worship team at St. Luke's and the Detling Band. 

Robin has experienced the reality of a healing God in his own life. During his childhood he struggled with disabilities which he has seen God bring remarkable healing in.

He has a huge heart, both for God and people and is passionate about building a church which shows the care and love of God to every individual.

Robin worked for many years in local government. He  was recently ordained. He oversees the pastoral care network within the church with a large team of volunteers. He is married to Helen and they have two children.

Mary Jane is one of our church wardens and has been at St. Luke's for more years than she would care to remember.

A qualified Myers Briggs Consultant, she heads up her own consultancy, working with teams in all sectors and helping them to better understand each other and work better as a team.

Mary Jane has a passion for all things Italian and is married to Eddie, they have one daughter, Abi.

Our other church warden; Richard looks after the buildings side of church life and makes sure the roof isn't leaking and the walls are still standing. He is passionate about a church that functions in a way that makes a difference in our everyday lives. 

Richard is married to Teresa and they have three children.

Anne has been a member of our staff team for over five years and has recently taken on the role of Office Manager. She works to ensure that things run as smoothly as possible for everyone at St. Luke's!

Anne has a passion for people, aims to give service with a smile and is always willing to answer queries. Anne has also taken on the role of our Child Protection Co-ordinator and is happy to speak with anyone in confidence about child protection matters at any time. 

Anne is married to Pat and they have two children.

Karen works to support the Office Manager in the smooth running of the office. She has a heart to serve others and to enable them in fulfilling their own roles within the team.

Karen has a passion to see people drawn to God through worship, prophecy and prayer.

Karen is married to Paul and they have two boys, Tom & Jack

Pat takes care of our prayer ministry team and helps out in the office on a part time basis.

She is married to Eric and they have children, grandchildren and lots of pets.

Richard has extensive experience in many types of children's work from work in schools (leading assemblies, classroom lessons, after-school clubs and holiday clubs) through to work in churches (leading Sunday School, week-long camps, church services etc.).

He is is married to Denise and has four children, Gemma, Samuel, Bethany & Gavin
